If the case involves a personal injury or death caused by a negligent party, then our firm works on contingency, which means that our fees and costs are recovered from any settlement or judgment. If we do not win, you owe our firm nothing. Currently attorney's fees are approximately 1/3 if the case is resolved prior to litigation (when a lawsuit is filed), 35% after a lawsuit is filed and before trial commences, and 40% once trial commences and we obtain a verdict. Fees can be discounted however depending on the degree of complexity of the case.

If the case involves a probate, the fees are dictated by statute. In California, probate attorney fees and executor commissions are determined by California Probate Code §10800 & 10810 and are based on the gross value of the estate, meaning debts are NOT subtracted when determining the fee:

5% > $15,000,000 The court will determine a reasonable compensation amount.

If the case involves trust litigation or probate litigation, the attorney's fee is $350/hour plus costs at value.
